LOCATION:                   Nuuanu Branch

SALARY RANGE:            $9.00-$10.00/hour

STATUS:                      Part-time/non-exempt

GENERAL FUNCTION:       

Under the supervision of the Pre-school Director and/or Program Director, this position is primary concerned with assisting the Director in managing all non-licensed pre-school programs and special events on-site at YMCA or off site. Programs address ages 18 months-5 years.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills/Knowledge:

• Requires understanding of child development (specifically ages 18 months-5 years), group management, group work, program and communications, team work and supervision
• Must enjoy working with pre-school age group.
• Must be people oriented.

Education/Training:

• 4 year degree preferred, but Early Childhood certification acceptable
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Minimum 6 months in working with pre-school aged children
