SALARY RANGE:     $20.00 - $22.00/hour

 STATUS:              part-time/non-exempt               

GENERAL FUNCTION:      

 Must be able to instruct, explain, and demonstrate technique and method of dance with musical or rhythmic accompaniment, to students of all ages.  Choreograph and take part in assisting with dance performances and program events.  Must be able to perform and instruct intermediate dance technique. Knowledge and proper use of barre, center work, & progressions which include basic turns, jumps, & leaps. Must be able to perform and instruct basic skill and advanced skills in Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, to include positions, turns, jumps, & leaps, as well as elements of dance conditioning.

QUALIFICATIONS:   

Minimum of 3- years of advanced dance in ballet, jazz, and lyrical, or equivalent education background/experience.  Prior experience with teaching a plus.  Must be able to work with children ages 9 and up.
