Personal Fitness

We all need the advice of an expert sometimes, as well as the personal attention that comes with a trainer or coach. The YMCA of Honolulu offers personal training and coaching to help you set and meet your specific goals in order to live healthier.

Healthy Start Center

Our new Healthy Start Centers were designed for those exercisers who are uncomfortable with the 'typical' weight room environment. We created a private, safe and exclusive space for women, new exercisers, older adults and families with younger children. The room provides allotted private workout time for each described demographic. We also hold our exclusive Circuit Classes here that are open to all members. Healthy Start Centers are available at our Leeward and Nu'uanu branches.

Personal Training

Take your workouts to the next level and get some personalized training with a YMCA Personal Trainer. A personal trainer can motivate you to overcome fitness plateaus and assist with weight loss/management programs, one-on-one training sessions, sports specific training sessions, and help you develop healthier and more active habits.  To schedule your appointment, please go to the Welcome Center at your local YMCA or learn more here.

Active Older Adults

The YMCA designs programs for all ages and levels.  We have special classes geared to our active older adults.

Kaiser Permanente Senior Advantage members will enjoy an exciting new fitness program called Silver&Fit®.
