Campus Y
Service Learning is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience,
teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities.
The Atherton Branch believes Service Learning projects to be an excellent addition to student academic studies and an outstanding way to develop leadership competencies.
Alternative Winter & Spring Break
Atherton Y’s Alternative Winter & Spring Break program gives college students an experience in a new community to learn about the culture and provide a service to the community. Students learn about their hosts, participate in meaningful service, take advantage of leadership opportunities and have lots of fun!
Y College Camp
The Atherton YMCA has received a grant from the Y of the USA to develop and implement Y College Camp, a leadership and college access experience for Hawaii high school students from underserved populations. Y College Camp supports, motivates, and encourages high school students to graduate and pursue higher education.
