YMCA Camp Erdman is excited to announce its revamped Outdoor Education Program!
Camp Erdman is perfectly positioned to provide students with a rich-experience based learning environment. From exploring our tide pools during Marine Biology to climbing outside of comfort zones while scaling the Alpine Tower, our unique programs allow our campers to have a true hands-on learning experience.
We offer a multitude of programs specifically designed to meet the needs of students ranging from 1st through 12th grade. Our fully trained professional staff will guide your students through the many activities we have to offer. Check out our program options below!
1st-4th Grade Outdoor Education - General Track
Our General Track is designed to give even our youngest campers an enriching & unforgettable experience! This track has both environmental and team building focused activities to give each student a well balanced introduction to both. Each student will leave the trip with enhanced communication skills and an overall understanding of the environment around them.
5th-12th Grade Outdoor Education - Environmental Track
The purpose of this program is to provide our campers with the opportunity to experience nature through a variety of hands-on activities. We want campers to leave YMCA Camp Erdman with a new appreciation for Hawaii's beautiful surroundings and have a better awareness on how to protect our environment. Our program most importantly promotes a sense of community and cooperation among the students through safe, fun and challenging activities.
5th-12th Grade Outdoor Education - Team Building Track
Our Team Building Track is hyper focused on helping each student walk away with a better understanding of both themselves and their peers. To build each student’s communication and cooperation skills, the group will overcome many challenges both individually AND collaboratively. These activities will help them build self-confidence and a stronger sense of community. Our Goal is to promote teamwork, brainstorming, & confidence to push students to reach beyond their limits.
