Camp Experience Facilitator

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Camp Experience Facilitators will facilitate one or more of the four Nui Tour activities (Nature, Art, Culture, Adventure) for up to 100 participants in groups of up to 25 people at a time. Camp Experience Facilitators are typically experienced in the day to day camp operations and activities as well as working with tour groups of all ages. The Camp Experience Facilitators will serve as representatives of YMCA Camp Erdman and work alongside fellow Camp Experience Facilitators. Facilitators will report to the Lead Program Instructor and Lead Camp Experience Facilitator. Daily responsibilities include set up, facilitation, and clean up of all activities. This position ideally has high comfortability talking to and leading large groups of all ages.
KNOW-HOW:
The Camp Experience Facilitators must have a thorough understanding of the YMCA’s mission and goals, and a desire to work with children and adults. Leadership skills, enthusiasm, patience, a sense of humor and self-control are all essential. The Camp Experience Facilitator ideally functions well in a team working environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Two years of college education preferred● Experience working with children and adults
● Prior tourism industry experience preferred
● Prior experience leading others preferred
● CPR/AED & First Aid preferred
● TB test required
● Ability to be physically active all day
