Customer Service Representative

Position: Customer Service Representative
Location: Metropolitan
Salary Range: $16.00 - $17.75/hour
Status: Full-time/Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for connecting and building relationships with YMCA members through friendly, professional and genuine conversations. Ensures members feel that they are valued at the YMCA and provide them with assistance in an efficient, effective and timely manner. Also responsible for providing friendly, courteous and professional support to staff and branch teams by assisting with incoming customer inquiries through Association reports, emails and calls.  Follows up on any pending requests and shares information with other colleagues to ensure consistent and accurate information is being provided to customers.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills/Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver exceptional customer service to a broad audience.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and must be comfortable speaking with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Must be well organized and have a demonstrated ability to multitask.
  • Previous successful administrative experience required.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel & email.
  • Working knowledge of software programs such as Active Net, MotionVibe, & Raiser’s Edge helpful.

Education/Training:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • College degree helpful.
  • Able to be CPR/AED, Oxygen or First Aid trained.
  • TB clearance required.
