Maintenance Technician III

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To build relationships to create a healthy environment for all staff and members of the YMCA. Performs a variety of general repair and maintenance work in a building: keeps building or assigned areas in a building in a clean and orderly condition; tasks performed may involve heavy lifting, climbing and other strenuous work. To provide a facility that is safe for the members and staff.

Skills/Knowledge:
- Able to serve as project lead, handles installation & building repair work.
- Apply skills, knowledge & experience to provide training or supervision of projects.
- Must be able to read and understand directions, specifically pertaining to the use of cleaning maintenance supplies and use of equipment.
Able to:
- Perform repairs of fitness equipment.
- Perform repairs of systems (AC, pool, pumps, motors, plumbing, etc.)
- Perform pool maintenance and balance pool chemicals.
- Perform advanced-level property and equipment repairs.
- Perform preventative maintenance duties
- Perform pool maintenance and balance pool chemicals
- Able to Handle Basic Repairs: Bulbs, Belts, AC filters, appliances & Equipment, etc.
- Conduct training for various equipment (power washer, floor polisher/scrubber, etc.)
- Apply skills, knowledge & experience to provide training or supervision of projects.
- Power-operated commercial landscaping tools
- Wide variety of maintenance, repair, and power tools
Education/Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license
Experience:
- Mid-high level experience in at least 3 maintenance trades (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, grounds keeping/landscaping)
- Training certifications in at least 3 maintenance trades (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, grounds keeping/landscaping) preferred.
