Position: A+ Program Aide - Waikele Elementary
Schedule: Monday thru Friday from 1:30pm to 5:30pm
Opportunities to work extra hours during school breaks.
District: Leeward Oahu
Supervising Branch: Leeward
Salary Range: Program Aide 1: $10.10/hour
Program Aide 2: $11.00/hour
Status: Part Time/Non-Exempt

GENERAL FUNCTION

Under the supervision of your Group Leader, Site Director, and Youth Program Director, assist with a variety of after school activities for children in grades K – 6th.

Program Aide 1: $10.10/hour
Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

  • 16 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Entry Level: No prior work experience required. Training will be provided.
  • TB test required.
  • Able to complete mandatory paid training.
  • Interest in caring for children.
  • Willing to develop organizational, group management, child development and leadership skills to implement a safe and fun program.
  • Positive and people oriented.

Preferred:

  • Comparable experience working with school age children/teens.
  • CPR/First Aid Certified preferred.

Program Aide 2: $11.00/hour
Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

  • 16 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year or more of child care experience with leadership responsibilities in a group setting.
  • TB test required.
  • Able to complete mandatory paid training.
  • Interest in caring for children.
  • Willing to develop organizational, group management, child development and leadership skills to implement a safe and fun program.
  • Positive and people oriented.

Preferred:

  • Completion of some college or post high school.
  • CPR/First Aid Certified.
