College Camp
College Camp is a week-long leadership and college access experience for Hawaii's high school students from underserved communities. The program supports, motivates, and encourages students to pursue higher education post-graduation. Each week is filled with fun, challenges, and learning opportunities that help individuals thrive.
Youth & Government
The YMCA of Honolulu Youth & Government program is an annual program designed to offer students, grades 6-12, hands-on experience with state government. Each year, some 100 students from across the state converge on the State Capitol, taking the places of our real government officials. Program participants can serve as senators or representatives and even members of the press corps.
Hiroshima-Honolulu Exchange Program
In the spirit of international cooperation, the YMCA of Honolulu and its international sister, the Hiroshima YMCA participate in an annual international exchange. The program seeks to build and grow bonds between the youth of our YMCAs. Every other year, the YMCA of Honolulu hosts a delegation from the Hiroshima YMCA, and then the YMCA of Honolulu sends a delegation up to Hiroshima, Japan.
Raggers Program
Raggers is a worldwide goal setting program that YMCA campers and staff can use for personal growth. The program is designed to encourage campers to take an in-depth look at their beliefs, their strengths and their weaknesses and invites them to accept the challenge to grow in spirit, mind and body.
