Due to COVID-19, College Camp Summer 2020 was canceled.

COLLEGE CAMP 1: RISING JUNIORS - FIRST YEAR PARTICIPANTS

College Camp is a week-long leadership and college access experience for Hawaii`s high school students from underserved communities.  The program supports, motivates, and encourages students to pursue higher education post-graduation.  Each week is filled with fun, challenges, and learning opportunities that help individuals thrive.

Students will participate in a community service project, discover their strengths, set personal goals, tour a minimum of 4 college campuses, learn about the admissions process, and engage with professionals in the fields they’d like to pursue.

Through the activities at Y College Camp, the students will discover more about themselves, experiencing independent living in a college environment, and gain a better understanding of what they need to accomplish in high school to attend college.

COLLEGE CAMP 2: RISING SENIORS - Returning Students Only

College Camp 2 is a week-long continuation program.  In College Camp 2, we focus on the admissions process.  Workshops include how social media can impact your application, completing the FAFSA, applying for scholarships, writing a strong personal statement, interview skills, and choosing the right school.  Of course the program would not be complete without a service project, tons of activities, fitness, and lots of laughs.
