Y Adventure Guides

Adventure Guides is a program based on building strong relationships between fathers/parents and their children. The program is open to keiki ages 5-12 and their parent/father/caregivers. While some events are father/child only, most are open to all. The group gets together throughout the year for hiking, camping, ocean activities, sporting events and more! Cost is $50 for each participant for the calendar year (January-December). You may print out and mail or drop off the registration form with fees to the Windward YMCA and our Adventure Guides volunteer coordinator will contact you shortly.

 Y Service Club

The mission of the Y Service Club is primarily to assist the Windward YMCA with their activities and events, however we also participate and volunteer in the surrounding communities and world projects.  We are an organization built on volunteers that want to make a difference in our community and peoples lives.

Our club activities include:

- Volunteering and supporting the Annual Campaign (AC) for Windward YMCA.  A large portion of the proceeds from our annual plant sale are donated to AC.

- We provide manpower and financial support for Windward YMCA Youth Program throughout the year by making hundreds of spam musubis and serving shave ice to the students at their A+ sites after school during the AC season.

- In coordination with Meals on Wheels, members deliver food to clients weekly in the Kaneohe and Kailua areas.

- We oversee the distribution of toiletry and snack care packages at the monthly Kailua Houseless Service Care event that is supported by Windward YMCA and Day Break Church.

- Yearly we fill shoes boxes with items for children during Operation Christmas Child, a project sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse.

- Volunteering at the annual USPS Food Collection sorting can goods at the Honolulu Foodbank.

- Volunteering at PAR HI Golf Tournament, with proceeds being donated to the Honolulu YMCA and Special Olympics.

- Gathering and packaging toiletry items for the Kailua Women’s Abuse Center.
