The YMCA of Honolulu
The YMCA of Honolulu is one of the largest non-profit organizations in the state. The organization was founded in 1869 and incorporated under the laws of the Kingdom of Hawaii in 1882. Every year, we serve more than 100,000 individuals in a variety of programs.
Our programs and services are open to children, teens, women and men of all ages, faiths and backgrounds. In all our programs, we promote our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. We are a fellowship of people helping each other to learn, grow and improve our own lives as well as the lives of others. Our programs and services center around three areas of focus: Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. We welcome you to be a part of our mission and movement. Youth Development
 | This year, 21 million people- nearly half of them kids- will come to
the Y to learn, grow and thrive. The Y engages 10,000 communities
across the U.S. and the YMCA of Honolulu is proud to be a part of this
movement.
The YMCA of Honolulu seeks to nurture the potential of every child and
teen who comes through our doors. Whether you are the parent of a young
child looking for pre-school care options, or are a young adult looking
for a place to form friendships, the Y is here for you. |
Healthy Living | In communities across the nation, the Y is a leading voice on health
and well-being. With a mission centered on balance, the Y brings
families closer together, encourages good health and fosters
connections through fitness, sports, fun and shared interests. As a
result, millions of youth, adults, and families are receiving the
support, guidance and resources needed to achieve greater health and
well-being for their spirit, mind and body.
Here at your very own YMCA of Honolulu we work every day to help
members of our community reach their fitness goals, try new exercises
or activities, build relationships with other Y members through social
events, and work towards a happier and healthier self.

Social Responsibility
 | The Y makes strengthening our communities our cause. By offering
affordable child care to low and middle-income families, by developing
drug prevention and anti-gang programs for at-risk youth, by helping
military families cope with having a family member overseas, and
through so many other programs that promote a health spirit, mind and
body. Twenty-one million people of all ages and walks of life who are
committed to one of our more than 2,600 Ys each year know this: we're
here for them.
The
YMCA of Honolulu alone supports over 13,000 of these men, women and
families. And in return, we appreciate how they support us. The YMCA of
Honolulu has been a part of the Oahu community for over 140 years
thanks to the generosity of our members, partners, and donors. |
