Windward Oahu YMCA | YMCA of Honolulu
The branch is located near Castle Medical Center on the Windward side of Oahu.  It offers a wide range of programs and activities, including a full fitness center, numerous group exercise classes, child care programs, swim lessons, and exercise classes in the heated pool.

The facility sits on a 5-acre parcel of land surrounding Ulupo Heiau, an ancient Hawaiian agricultural shrine.  The heiau overlooks Kawainui Marsh, the largest wetland area in Hawaii.  Two groups, the Kailua Hawaiian Civic Club and Aha Hui Malama I Ka Lokahi, are the caretakers of the heiau, which today attracts thousands of visitors annually.

The branch opened at this site in 1959 and will celebrate 50 years of operations in 2009.

Annual Support Campaign - Windward YMCA

WE HAVE REACHED OUR $60,000 GOAL!

The Strong Communities Annual Support Campaign (ASC) is a concentrated month-long effort led by YMCA volunteers to educate the public about our programs and raise tax-deductible contributions.

Every dollar raised in the Windward YMCA Strong Communities ASC stays in the local community.  All contributed dollars are used to directly support Windward YMCA programs and YMCA subsidized programs that develop the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

A huge Mahalo to all those who have worked, pledged, or donated to make that number possible.  We are continuing our efforts to collect current as well as new pledges.  The more campaign money we have the more financial assistance we can give.  So keep up the good work!

Please see Ananda Chou or Bill Stone (261-0808) if you would like to contribute your time or make a monetary donation.
