Convenient care for kids during the school year
Before-School Program
The YMCA offers early-morning childcare at schools before the school day begins. Depending on the school, the Before School Program (BSP) starts between 5:30-6:30am, Monday through Friday. The morning schedule includes supervised activities, breakfast, and being escorted to class. Program fees vary according to the individual school’s calendar.
Minimum enrollment must be met in order for the BSP program to open.
2025-2026 School Year
Submit your interest in enrollment for your school site. The Before School Program will run if a minimum enrollment of 40 children is met.

After-School Program
In the Y’s After-School Program (ASP), students are picked up after school and brought to a YMCA location where they enjoy a healthy snack, supervised homework time, and a wide variety of structured activities. Activities can include sport skills, cooking/nutrition, Kidz Lit reading program, gardening, arts/crafts, recreational swim, singing, dancing, and drama.
These schools are accepting registration for the 2024-2025 school year:
- Kamehameha Schools - Na Pua Lei After School Program
- Moanalua Middle School - Na Alaka'i After School Program
- Lincoln Elementary School - 21CCLC After School Program
- Stevenson Middle School - 21CCLC After School Program

In addition to ASP, the Y partners with the Department of Education to offer the A+ After-School Program for nearly 7,000 students in grades K-6.
