Inclement Weather Update #1: July 24, 2026, 7:30pm

Hurricane Fausto and YMCA Operations

The YMCA of Honolulu is closely monitoring Hurricane Fausto and preparing for any possible weather impacts.

The latest forecast update from the National Weather Service in Honolulu indicates that Fausto is expected to weaken into a tropical storm—or possibly a remnant low—as it approaches the islands early to mid next week. Even so, weather conditions can change.

Camp Erdman Session 9 check-in remains scheduled for Sunday, July 26, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. Registered families will be contacted immediately by email if plans change. 

During inclement weather, YMCA facility and program operations follow the safety guidance of State and City officials. If weather or road conditions make travel unsafe, or if a YMCA facility sustains weather-related damage, YMCA facilities and programs may temporarily close or adjust operations in alignment with official directives and safety assessments.
