YMCA Camp Erdman is a place for more than outdoor exploration—this beachfront camp is a safe place for kids to discover who they are, improve skills, forge friendships, and develop independence. Kids and teens come back year after year to experience magic moments during 5-night, 6-day overnight camps that emphasize personal growth through choice.

In the mornings, campers choose activities that interest them, such as archery, outdoor living skills, and art—or during camp registration, you can select a specialty addition such as horse camp, surf camp, adventure camp, climbing camp, and more. Instructors coach them through the week to improve their skills and confidence.
Later in the day, campers rotate through activity areas to experience all Camp Erdman has to offer, including hiking, sports, and swimming. Evening activities include campfires, dances, and a weekly campout. Campers and staff are encouraged to dress up on the Wednesday night of each session’s special theme.

For campers enrolled in consecutive sessions, this option allows a camper to be fully immersed in residential camp life for 2 weeks. During this time, campers are given a day where they do laundry and relax a little. Campers choose which activities they’d like to do at a slower pace than a regular North Shore camp day. This option is already included in teen leadership camps.
You cannot register for a weekend stayover alone—instead, you can select this option during registration for traditional overnight camp. The program fee is $179 for Kama’aina (Hawaii residents) or $189 for visitors (out-of-state residents).
This experience is for first-time campers ages 5-17 interested in sampling overnight camp. It’s a condensed 4-day, 3-night version of traditional overnight camp. The theme for 2025 is Minion Camp! We typically dress up in costume for our Wednesday night all-camp dance! The camp transportation add-on is not available for Mini Camp.
